Bus RWS8, dengan tarif 2 SGD. Cable Car (kereta gantung), nah yang ini harganya lumayan mahal bisa sampe 25 - 30 SGD. Jalan Kaki via Sentosa Boardwalk.
Sudah lama banget nggak ke Singapore! Terakhir aku ke Singapore di tahun 2014. Singapura itu terkenal mahal, jadi agak males kesana walau tiket pesawatnya sering promo. Karena penasaran seperti apa Singapura saat ini, akhirnya Juni 2018 lalu aku kembali kesana. Mungkinkah backpacker-an murah di Singapore? Tahukah kamu kalau Singapore merupakan salah satu negara dengan biaya hidup termahal di dunia? Makanya heran juga kenapa orang Indonesia hobi ke Singapore. Dan kebanyakan dari mereka ke Singapore untuk belanja pula! Ternyata orang negara kita kaya-kaya ya? Hahaha. Kuakui, Singapore memang nyaman dikunjungi. Kotanya sangat rapi dan infrastruktur-nya sangat menunjang untuk traveler. Setiap ke Singapore, rasanya terpukau kita punya negara tetangga yang semaju ini. Yang kusuka juga dari Singapore adalah keberagaman etnis-nya. It’s a melting pot for various ethnicity, from Melayu, to Chinese, to Indian, etc. Membuat Singapore unik walaupun luas negara-nya terhitung kecil. Karena itu aku pun penasaran mencoba backpacker-an ke Singapore, plus menyeberang jalur darat ke Malaysia! Bright and colorful Singapore! DAY 1 FROM SOETTA TO CHANGI Untuk ke Singapore, kami menggunakan maskapai AirAsia. Ini pertama kalinya kami naik AirAsia setelah semua penerbangan internasional dari Jakarta-nya dipindah ke Terminal 3 Ultimate Soetta. Kami beli tiket lumayan dadakan, harga tiket per orangnya sekitar Rp one way. Hitungannya nggak mahal dan nggak murah juga untuk one way Jakarta – Singapura. Yang pasti jamnya enak karena flight jam 7 pagi, memungkinkan kami punya cukup waktu untuk langsung eksplor Singapore di hari pertama. Airport transfer ke T2 Changi KELILING SINGAPORE EZ-LINK or SINGAPORE TOURIST PASS? Jika sudah sampai di Changi Airport Singapore, transportasi paling mudah dan murah menuju tengah kota adalah dengan MRT. Untuk naik MRT, kalian bisa membeli single-journey ticket di mesin. Tapi jika kamu berencana akan banyak naik MRT dan bus selama di Singapore, supaya lebih praktis aku sarankan untuk membeli kartu EZ Link atau kartu Singapore Tourist Pass. Loket tiket di MRT Changi Airport Kartu EZ Link adalah kartu yang bisa kamu pakai dan isi ulang untuk menggunakan MRT dan bus. Harga kartunya adalah SGD 12 dengan nilai isi kartu SGD 7, harga kartu SGD 5 jika membeli di TransitLink Ticket Offices. Info bisa cek disini Singapore Tourist Pass sebenarnya adalah kartu EZ Link juga, namun menawarkan unlimited travels untuk turis. Kartunya terbagi menjadi 1-day pass SGD 10, 2-day pass SGD 16, dan 3-day pass SGD 20. Saat membeli kamu juga akan diminta membayar deposit SGD 10. Jika kamu tidak mengembalikan kartu Singapore Tourist Pass ini saat pass-nya sudah berakhir, kartu ini akan jadi kartu EZ-Link biasa deposit hangus. Singapore Tourist Pass CHECK IN HOTEL Truthfully, the thing I hate the most about Singapore is the accomodation. Hotel rooms in Singapore are sooooo pricy yet the room is really small! Untuk backpacker, selalu ada pilihan hostel. Namun untuk hostel dengan fasilitas yang lumayan, harga hostel bisa sekitar Rp per orang. Rasanya tetap mahal banget kalo dibanding menginap di hostel di Bali atau Bangkok yang sesama negara ASEAN. Ini salah satu alasan kenapa aku nggak terlalu lama stay di Singapore dan lebih lama beberapa malam di KL. Karena menginap di KL jauh lebih murah! Hahaha. Di Singapore kali ini aku menginap di The Great Madras. Ini hitungannya bukan budget hotel sih, karena rate 1 malamnya sekitar Rp 1 juta per kamar. Tapi aku bela-belain menginap disini karena aku tertarik banget sama interior hotelnya dan karena lokasinya di Little India yang dekat kemana-mana. Bersih, harganya terjangkau, lokasinya dekat dari MRT Lavender, dan dapat simple breakfast toasts, coffee, and tea. Jika ada yang punya rekomendasi hostel murah dan bagus di Singapore, silakan komen di bawah yah! Setelah meletakkan tas di hostel, kami pun berangkat ke Sentosa Island. KE SENTOSA ISLAND Berbondong orang-orang ke Sentosa Island untuk ke Universal Studio Singapore USS. Tapi kami kesana untuk cobain Hackett Sentosa Bungy Jump! Yay! Jika kalian hendak ke USS, bisa tetap menggunakan guide ini. Sentosa Island adalah pulau di selatan Singapore, tidak bisa langsung dicapai dengan MRT. Ada beberapa cara untuk menyeberang ke Sentosa Island By car menggunakan Grab, fare tergantung jarak By cable car dari Mount Faber SGD 18 By Sentosa Express dari Vivocity Mall SGD 4, tidak dicover Singapore Tourist Pass By walk +- 2 KM dari Vivocity Mall free Jika kalian memilih opsi 3 atau 4, bisa menggunakan MRT dan turun di Harbourfront MRT Station. Masuk ke area mall Vivocity, dan ikuti signage yang ada. Aku memilih opsi 4 karena merasa sayang jika harus keluar SGD 4 untuk naik Sentosa Express. Jalan kaki sekitar 2 KM di Sentosa Gateway, sudah sampai di Sentosa Island. Plus, bonus pemandangan sepanjang jalan yang bagus! Pemandangan sepanjang Sentosa Gateway Tempat jalan kakinya adem dan gak panas. Ada travelator tapi beberapa tidak dinyalakan mesinnya. Sentosa Express. Biasanya selalu ramai. FYI, Sentosa Express ini sebenarnya gratis setelah kalian sampai di Sentosa Island. SGD 4 ini hanya di-charge di saat berangkat menyeberang dari Vivocity. Jika kalian sudah berjalan kaki sampai di Sentosa Island, bisa naik Sentosa Express gratis untuk keliling Sentosa Island ataupun untuk kembali ke main island tanpa harus menunjukkan bukti pembelian tiket. Rute Sentosa Express Setelah menyeberangi Sentosa Gateway, bisa berjalan kaki saja menuju Waterfront Station. Universal Studio Singapore USS letaknya di dekat Waterfront Station ini. Untuk kalian yang hendak ke USS, bisa beli tiket melalui ! Menghindari antri panjang terutama saat musim liburan. Tiket Universal Studios Singapore USS via HACKETT BUNGY JUMP Karena Hackett Bungy Jump terletak di Siloso Beach, maka setelah sampai Waterfront Station, lanjut naik Sentosa Express menuju Beach Station. Turun, dan berjalan ikuti signage ke arah Hackett Bungy Jump. Beach Station Sentosa Express FYI, Hackett adalah perusahaan yang namanya sudah tidak perlu ditanyakan lagi di dunia bungy jump. Cabangnya yang paling dekat dari Indonesia, adalah di Sentosa Island ini. Bungy jump tertinggi di dunia di Macau Tower juga dikelola oleh Hackett. If you are a first-timer of bungy jump, I recommend them very much! Tiket untuk Hackett Bungy Jump Sentosa bisa dibeli via Klook. Harganya sekitar Rp per orang. Tinggal tunjukkan bukti pembelian di layar HP saja. Sentosa Bungy Jump by Hackett Untuk bungy jump, kalian bisa pilih untuk badan dicemplungin’ ke kolam atau tidak. Jelas lebih seru dicemplungin’ sih! Hehehe. Hackett Sentosa Ditimbang dulu sebelum loncat Bungy jump di Sentosa Island ini pemandangannya cantik sekali karena persis di bibir pantai Siloso. Berani coba? IKEA ALEXANDRA Kelaparan setelah bungy jump, kami memilih makan di IKEA daerah Alexandra. Ya, Jennifer Anandary memang hobinya makan di IKEA hahaha. Sebelum IKEA buka dan ngehits di Indonesia, kebanyakan orang Indonesia sudah duluan mencoba makan di IKEA Singapore. Ada 2 lokasi IKEA di Singapore, di Alexandra dan Tampines. Alexandra lokasinya di selatan, tidak terlalu jauh dari Sentosa. Sedangkan Tampines lokasinya lebih ke timur dekat Changi. Untuk ke IKEA Alexandra ini, kami menggunakan bus umum dari Vivocity. Rute dan nomor bus bisa dicek di Google Maps. IKEA Alexandra Harga makanan di IKEA Singapore jelas lebih mahal dari IKEA Indonesia. Kami habis sekitar SGD untuk makan berdua. Wajib coba dim sum-nya karena menurutku enak banget! Late lunch IKEA GILLMAN BARRACK Kalau nyari tempat Instagram-able yang lagi ngehits di Singapore, Gillman Barrack jelas salah satunya. Apalagi kalau kalian suka yang serba colorful. Gillman Barrack adalah sebuah areal seni berisi berbagai art exhibitions, galeri, dan juga restoran. Saat aku kesana area-nya lumayan sepi. Mungkin karena weekdays, dan sedang tidak ada event. Lokasi Gillman Barrack ini di selatan Singapore, sehingga searah jika kalian menuju ke arah Sentosa Island. Gillman Barrack REDHILL MRT STATION Arah pulang dari Gillman Barrack, kami sengaja melalui rute Redhill MRT Station. Si MRT station yang serba pink. So cute! Hello pink station! LIBRARY ORCHARD Setelah menghabiskan waktu di daerah selatan, kami pun menuju Orchard Road dengan bus untuk cari keramaian Singapore di malam hari. Kalau suka shopping barang branded, wajib ke area ini. Kalaupun tidak suka belanja, bisa cuci mata dan jajan roti es krim 1 dollar khas sini. Selagi di Orchard, bisa juga main ke Library ORCHARD, perpustakaan modern yang lokasinya di Orchard Gateway, di samping mall 313Somerset. Perpustakaan ini terbuka untuk umum, dan koleksinya lengkaaaaap sekali. Library ORCHARD Setelah puas keliling Orchard dan mall pun mulai tutup, kami pun pulang menuju hostel dengan MRT. DAY 2 BUGIS STREET & LITTLE INDIA Salah satu trik bisa liburan murah di Singapore adalah mengunjungi spot-spot menarik yang masuknya gratis! Singapore punya area yang menurutku menarik banget meski hanya untuk cuci mata jalan-jalan. Sebut saja Bugis Street, Arab Street, dan Little India. Residence of Tan Teng Niah Murals around Little India Haji Lane Wanderlust OLD HILL STREET POLICE STATION Salah satu gedung paling colorful di Singapore. Kantor polisi tapi bangunannya layaknya pelangi! Sebelum ke tujuan utama hari ini yaitu Central Perk, kami mampir melewati gedung ini. Lebih suka naik bus daripada MRT karena kebanyakan turun lebih dekat ke tujuan. Bus tingkat pun ada. Old Hill Street Police Station CENTRAL PERK Inilah destinasi utama hari ini! I’m a big fan of TV series, jadi pastinya mampir kesini. Lokasi Central Perk SG ini berada di lantai dasar sebuah gedung, di seberang hotel Holiday Inn Clarke Quay. Welcome to Central Perk SG! Sempat membaca beberapa review tentang Central Perk SG ini yang bilang bahwa menunya cukup mahal. Setuju sih! Tapi wajar karena mereka bayar license langsung ke Warner Bros. Kami pesan Joey’s Meatlover Pizza SGD 26, Chandler’s Mac n Cheese SGD 14, Joey Tribbiani Frappucinno SGD 17, dan Ice Lemon Tea SGD 5. Pizza-nya yang katanya recommended menurutku rasanya biasa aja. Mac n Cheese-nya yang menurutku lebih enak! Setelah seharian capek keliling Singapore, kami cukup lama nongkrong disini sambil keasikan nonton rerun episode. Will come back? Setelah ngider-ngider sebentar, kami memutuskan untuk kembali ke sini malamnya karena Deepavali Street Light Up-nya baru mulai jam 7 malam. Kunjungan ke 5 saya bila tidak salah hitung ke Singapura, dalam rangka liburan tentunya dunk, hehehe… Bicara tentang destinasi liburan ke singapura tentu saja tidak bisa dilepaskan dari area Sentosa Island dan segala atraksi yang ada didalamnya. Pada kesempatan kali ini tujuan saya adalah ke Universal Studios Singapore. Setelah beberapa kali hanya bisa sampai di depan bola dunia Universal Studio saja, kali ini akhirnya bisa masuk juga ke dalamnya. Ada yang lain kali ini ketika saya akan menuju ke Sentosa Island. Kalau biasanya untuk masuk ke dalam area Sentosa Island ini dengan naik Monorail dari lantai 3 Vivo City dengan tarif SGD 4, maka kali ini saya ingin mencoba hal yang baru yaitu Sentosa Boardwalk. Sentosa Boardwalk sendiri adalah semacam jembatan penghubung antara Singapore Mainland dengan Sentosa Island yang mulai dibuka sejak Januari 2011. Panjangnya sekitar 600 meter dengan waktu tempuh sekitar 15 menit. Dengan slogan “Its More Fun On Foot“, Sentosa Boardwalk memang menawarkan kegembiraan untuk yang melintasinya. Jarak 600 meter memang lumayan jauh untuk berjalan kaki, namun Anda tak perlu khawatir karena Sentosa Boardwalk dilengkapi dengan Travellator berjalan di sepanjangnya, sehingga kalau capek Anda tinggal naik Travellator tersebut dan santai menikmati perjalanan. Selain itu sepanjang Sentosa Boardwalk ini juga dilengkapi dengan atap penutup sehingga tak perlu takut kepanasan sepanjang perjalanan. Cara Menuju Ke Sentosa Boardwalk Untuk menuju ke Sentosa Boardwalk sangat mudah. Tahap pertama Anda harus menuju ke Mall Vivo City. Bila naik MRT cari saja petunjuk ke stasiun MRT Harbour Front. Dari stasiun tersebut silahkan naik ke lantai 1 atau lantai dasar Vivo City, cari saja petunjuk menuju Sentosa Boardwalk. Petunjuk arahnya bertebaran di tiap sudut mall, jadi seharusnya tidak susah mencari arah ke Sentosa Boardwalk ini. Dari Vivo City ini Anda juga bisa menuju ke Sentosa dengan naik Monorail, ada di lantai 3, tarifnya SGD 4 atau naik Bus Vivo City ke Sentosa ada di pintu depan Vivo City tarifnya SGD 2. Namun pada hari weekend kadang monorail dan bus tersebut sangat padat dan antri, jadi lewat Sentosa Boardwalk bisa jadi alternatif yang menyenangkan. Tarif Sentosa Boardwalk Sebenarnya tarif resmi untuk masuk ke Sentosa lewat Sentosa Boardwalk ini tidak gratis, namun bayar SGD 1. Namun saat saya melintas tarifnya sedan FREE alias GRATIS, dalam rangka memperingati hari kemerdekaan Singapore ke-50 tarifnya gratis hingga akhir tahun 2015. Asyiik. Alasan Harus Mencoba Sentosa Boardwalk Berjalan kaki memang bikin kaki capek, tapi berjalan kaki di Sentosa Boardwalk dijamin akan menyenangkan, ini beberapa alasannya Cara termurah untuk masuk ke Sentosa Island. Bila Anda jalan tergesa-gesa mungkin dalam waktu 5 menit sudah bisa sampai sedangkan bila jalan santai saja sekitar 15 menit. Bayangkan bila Anda naik Bus atau Monorail terutama waktu weekend waktu untuk antrinya saja bisa lebih dari itu. Pemandangan Di Sepanjang Perjalanan. Sentosa Boardwalk adalah jembatan yang menghubungkan Singapura dengan pulau Sentosa. Jadi Anda berjalan diatas selat kecil . Pemandangannya sangat luar biasa, Anda bisa berselfie ria dengan view kapal-kapal yang sedang melintas juga pemandangan Sentosa Island dan Vivo City.
